Seria muito se os clientes tivesse algum modelo de classificação do que é spam treinando localmente com dados do próprio usuário como likes e comentários
Can we make it so you can have posts that cost sats and we can filter based on a certain threshhold? For example, i can set my sat viewing threshold to zero and i will see everything, or i can set my threshold to x sats and only see posts someone paid x sats to post that note. So if i want to filter out a lot of noise i can set my threshold higher or lower depending on my goal. I imagine the threshold could be fairly low and effectively filter out lots of spam without being an unreasonable cost for users who actually want to post quality content. Proof of quality.

No but filtering out NIP-05 impersonators would certainly help a lot.
Let's say your profile is on all the bot lists. The average user sees less spam. Unless they follow you!

NIP-05 is not verification, it's just a way to stablish DNS aliases.

No. NIP-05 can't be where the identity lies. In #nostr the identity lies in the keypair (nsec+noun), not in the DNS alias. That being said, clients can chose different strategies to signal suspicious npubs, true. And some of them could be related with failing NIP-05 aliases? Could be. 🫂
I'll vote for PoW on all events, a simple requirement 000 prefix on the event id together with a nonce on top-level.

here's a brainfart NIP to solve this problem: introduce PoW scores for notes as a filtering criteria on relays a note is only published if it carries a hash above some difficulty higher difficulty notes are less likely to be published

oops sorry, correction: higher difficulty notes are more* likely to be published whenever there's spam, relay will raise the difficulty threshold
