@lemon I just tried to create a meme with 69 sats in it. It gave me an invoice for 69 sats and I paid it successfully but the screen didn’t refresh and then when I refreshed it my meme was gone. Take the sats as a donation but just giving you heads up and also wondering what I did wrong.

🀣 no, I just thought you wanted to be sure The encode/ decode of the emoji shows tje token outside of nostr, so bots don't get them The meme decoder is in nostr and decodes as a note... so I was suggesting a way to decode away from where the bots lurk.

You can still share it privately There’s 2 buttons on the bottom right: one to share privately (share icon) and the other is to create a link to share publicly on Nostr (πŸ”—) I made the bot for easy, convenient decoding in-client for fun, but even if I remove the bot, someone else could make their own so it’s important for people to be aware of that If it’s not published publicly, you can still decode it using the decoder on the website Hope that makes sense πŸ€™

Not sure exactly what was going on here, I tried it an it worked I directly commented to the image and tagged my bot, but the reply you did may have been structured differently for some reason I’ll see what I can do to replicate it In the meantime, directly comment under the image and tag the bot (instead of replying)

Nah, you're all good. I missed the part about using the nostr bot to return the token. I was copying the meme file to the decode page on your site. The stegosaurus bot greatly simplifies it.

It’ll only be PNG images for now (because other image types like jpeg compress the final image, which changes the pixels where the information is stored) I don’t have another detection method other than attempting to decode currently, but I can try and think of something

I pushed an update to publish a DM instead of a Kind 1 note, but it’s still not working quite right I see the DM response in Damus, but it doesn’t show in Primal Not sure of the issue so I’ll have to keep working on it @Yuki Kishimoto, direct messages are no longer possible on the Nostr-sdk, right? Only NIP17 private messages? I prefer NIP17, but a lot of users still use Damus and Primal and they are behind in that regard unfortunately

Wallets are created client side using the Cashu-ts library So you’re not β€œgiving” me your bitcoin That’s not to say something can’t break so I don’t advise that put your life savings in a meme, but I personally cannot rug you While memes are fun, I do think the ability to covertly send money does have a use case Code is open source so you can verify yourself
