gets too complicated at the end isnt clear enough to a lay person the difference between protocol and platform and what on top of means and sovereign is a big word co-opted and politicized

'arent supposed to say the quiet part out loud' is implying he doesnt know what he is doing and he does as in, dont dismantle him on the grounds of intelligence and manuevering cos that is playing on his turf it is way more simple he is just wrong it is enough to simply say that otherwise loved it πŸ‘
This is why decentralization and pseudonymous developers are the only path forward. If government knows who you are, and your project is a threat to power in any way, they will co-opt it.

Exactly. That’s why Nostr matters, no proxies, no gatekeepers, no silent switches behind the curtain. Just open protocols and freedom.
It is always funny when the primal folks keep talking about a protocol like they don't even bother moving the protocol along themselves or even adopting upgrades others make.
A great video! I think that the so-called β€˜normies’ do not consider it a bad thing that the social media companies are proxies to governments, BECAUSE they do not understand that the current monetary system results into fascism/communism. The moment that the penny drops their approach to government proxies changes. On a sidenote, it's weird to see MANY Bitcoiners (who understand very well what I just wrote) use centralized social media apps/websites, such as Twitter/X, Facebook etc.. The question that comes to mind is: what the fuck? #bitcoin #nostr #fiat #socialmedia #facebook #twitter #x #instagram

to me, isnt about controlling the narrative narrative is emergent isnt an issue of working for free, community is unpaid labor cos labor of love is so much simpler on just censorship alone, the fact that this is insane that words have to be struck out to not get caught up in robots or mod censors which is constantly reifying danger and penalty where there should be none no one should be in fear of losing their livelihood for sharing words someone else wrote about being afraid of being sexually assaulted or raped image View quoted note β†’

ATM, govs are fining the corps for breaching rules. Until that power flips, it's the corps working for the govs.
Great post Really inspired to keep working on Nostr A bunch of times in the last week I've felt the status quo trying to pull me back in Old conditioning Business ideas that use IG eg It's so strong, the allure of something that you know has worked in the past Nostr is so important though Good reminder to really focus, find a way, figure out the business models that now work atop Nostr GM @paul keating Great vibe View quoted note β†’

@jack so pretty here. I literally can't hear what he's saying? But yeah, I don't know. Social media is not so young... 20 years has been plenty of time for deep collective nervous system conditioning. Otherwise, Nostr probably wouldn't feel so barren still... I do look forward to the shift and unwinding though. View quoted note β†’
