Just whipped up 4 jars of my pecan butter. Pecans, salt, and a bit of honey, thats it. Since i started making this stuff, i dont even like any store bought butters anymore. #PecanButter #homesteading image

So good. I do the same thing but with macadamia nuts. Only problem is I can eat a whole jar in one go.

so raw? roasted? unsalted? raw and slightly sprouted? what do u think of adding cinammon? i have an ancient vitamix that will grind up small neighbors if i want it to. it has the horsepower of a small lawnmower.
I roast the pecans for about 8 mins on a cookie sheet first. I dump them in a food proessor and start to chop. When it starts to get a bit creamy i add 1/2 tsp salt and 1 TBSP honey (honey is optional but i like it). Then continue processing until it gets creamy enough for you. You can experiment and add whatever else you like. I tried one batch with cacao powder, but surprisingly (i love chocolate) i like it better without cacao. Start with raw, unsalted pecans. The freshness and flavor of the pecans makes a difference.
