Hi npub1f:j35vx5, and welcome to #nostr! 🤓 I tried to ⚡️zap you some welcome sats (bitcoin), but you haven't set up a #lightning wallet for your profile yet 🥺 Doing so allows anyone to zap you some sats when they value your contribution, want to say "hi", or any other reason! The easiest option for beginners is to use the in-built wallet in the @YakiHonne app (link below). If you're feeling a bit more adventurous, a dedicated lightning wallet is also a good idea! Some nice options include the @Minibits, @Coinos and @Wallet of Satoshi apps. Once you've got it sorted, be sure to post a note including #checkmyaddy and I'll try to zap you again! If you need help, just ask 😊 I can also help people check their #nostr address is working (if they have one). Nostr addresses are not mandatory, but some people like using them to add a personal touch to their profile. Once you've set it up, just post a note including #checkmyaddy and I'll check it again for you. If you like, I can give you one for free at "yourname@minestr.app". Just get in touch! 😊 Made with 💚 by @minestr.app
Welcome to Nostur where it is to you what you want it to be to you.
Welcome. Im still learning what I'm doing in this ecosystem, myself.
I mean every named Operation with a title was classified. Even minor shit. For all I know, it can all be declassified at this point. I got out of the Army in 2012. But unlike all these “Former” CIA and Intelligence influencers and so on, I don’t really have an interest in figuring out what is declassed and getting permission for this and that cause I know the game way too well and those folks are part of a game whether they want to be or not. So I just speak about nothing specific ever. Easiest rule to follow. Honor the Secret Clearance and just live life. Not that I was ever part of some huge sexy Earth shattering conspiracies or anything. Loosely, I can say one portion of my job was let’s say writing press releases and news articles for Army website and to AP and Reuters etc that would get picked up by mainstream media (the only existing media back then) and pushed Nationwide. Well, I’d be writing from say South Iraq and the stories I wrote would be about us building schools and hospitals in a town, let’s say. Press would come cover it and I’d be their liaison, controlling the narrative via access/no access and other Tradecraft. I’ll say this: the media would learn we were building and helping said communities, but only the most bold, skeptical and viciously non-stop aggressive true journalists would ever discover an iota of what LED to agreeing to “randomly” build up a town. (Hint: alleged unintentional collateral damage) This is a very loose, general example how a portion of my career worked. Glad that shit’s over. You think you’re saving the world, you think you’re Captain America, then things get muddy…
Great question. Here’s general answer: In the Army, PSYOPS is part of US Army Special Operations Command. When people think of Special Ops, they automatically think Rangers and Special Forces for Army and like Navy SEALs, etc. The military and entertainment media as a whole promote all the “badass” operatives I just mentioned. When you see a movie about how there was this crazy rescue and so on, they show all the kinetic action. But behind the scenes, ever so quietly, the little spiders spinning the narrative webs necessary to get funding, get private and public support, confusing the living shit out of the enemy, creating misdirection, etc etc etc which make the entire operations possible are the Authors known as PSYOPS professionals (Authors). In fact, Authors are the very reason the cowboy shit gets mainstream attention. You can’t operate silently and be ghosts if everyone can see you. Thus, the limelight is given to the “characters” whilst the Authors dictate the script.
