I just use the same old store brand allpurpose knife I've had for five years and I've never sharpened it once. But that's pimp.
Beautiful knife. I like the different handle materials, and the damascus pattern is pretty. What is the blade length? I would be afraid to sharpen it for the first time. You have nice taste.
Let’s get a kitchen related thread going! Lately I’ve been getting more BIFL kitchen tools; how about you? What tools you can’t live without? What recipes can you share? What tips and tricks can you teach? Show off what you made lately! Here’s some ribeye I reverse seared Sunday night. Made crying tiger sauce with jasmine rice. Recipe below 👇 Crying Tiger Sauce: 2-3 peppers (Thai/serrano/fresno) whichever you can find or can handle 1 bunch cilantro & equal portion scallions finely chopped 1 shallot diced 1 tsp/tbsp tamarind paste 2-3 limes (squeezed) 1 tsp rice (dry, ground & toasted) 1 tsp brown sugar Fish sauce (you can add a lot or a little depending on your tastes) start with a few tbsp and work your way up. Add more or less of the fish sauce and sugar to find the balance you like. Dice everything finely and mix up <30m before serving. #Knifestr #nostr #plebchain View quoted note →

Nothing better than a top chef's knife. That's literally all I use along with a paring knife occasionally.

You’re not stacking hard enough if you’re buying custom knives. You should be buying your knives from Costco and then returning them during a bear market for maximum sets or bitcoin as that dumb fuck Dorsey would like to call it.

Handle is a mix of cast resin, dyed Maple burl, G10 & reconstituted gemstone. He spent hours sitting and sanding it by hand. “Some shit just cannot be done right via machine.” “The burl section is harder than the resin, the g10 is harder than both and the gemstone is harder than all of the rest combined. Gotta shape that shit by hand, otherwise the machine grinds away the softer parts at a ridiculously fast rate while the harder parts stick out proud.” Dan from Bushkill Blades is an artist.
