Shits getting real, real fast. So grateful for freedom tech builders doing something to stop this hateful dehumanising
Watch this, I now understand why banks ( eu, Canada Australia, etc.) gradually ban/ limit cash withdrawals and implement CBDC , they can stop anyone from buying anything. This is from China

"Open your mouth and pretend you're sucking a **** ." So what is the next stage? They can still go further, who is stopping them?
Screw your rational logic. We are bashing commies /s (I'm not new but has /s been universally accepted as sarcasm here yet?)
And on every step along the way the people who said it would end up like this were called conspiracy theorists. Seems the last few years is a great time to be a "conspiracy theorist".
Do banks in your country let you have an account without KYC? If she wasn't a retard she could have paid with one of the many other payment apps, with a credit card, or with cash. Bashing China makes westerners feel less bad about their own shithole countries and helps manufacture consent for things like the tiktok ban.
She's trying to spend money from an account that isn't hers. Try doing that with a banking app anywhere in the world and they're going to verify you one way or another. It's nothing to do with the government. There are a number of commonly accepted ways to pay for stuff in China (and a CBDC is *not* one of them). Cash is still widely accepted, worst case she could have just gone to an ATM.
😂 my old man is still only using cash in everyday life. the intelligence of telling fake should be a basic human skill, just imagine how hundreds of millions of old who's not capable of smart phones could've lived in this country if, the government and cooperations are not stupid enough to simply wipe them out innit
Not sure about you, but I haven’t seen anything like what is showed in this video. QR code scanning sure, but facial recognition at a point of sale??!! Never seen that once here in China.
Holy crap. Really? That video really got my blood boiling. But if what you say is true, wow. Got to be careful what you see online.
You can do both of those things in China. "yeah things are bad, but look at China!" is being pushed as the current thing so that most people will accept it when team Obama starts saying "we need these new powers to save you from China".
Lol. It's one thing to know that this level of KYC is legarded. But this is not about that at all. She's just complaining that she can't pass verification - posing as either her uncle or her cousin which actually set up the account. Why did they do this? There's no reason but stupidity.
They took away the right to buy food in china, please don’t say “and you did nothing”. Shots getting real, real quick.
Any video coming out of China is suspicious. Especially if it made it's way out of China through TikTok. Whats the narrative for the Baizuo? App isn't racist, that's a good thing? Verification is not bad in itself, IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE and so forth...
Some people commented, that it's a video that is several years old. Also she could have used other payment methods like credit card, debit card, ... Don't know what's true
E.g. this

Nobody accepts cash anymore in China. It's a cashless society like Sweden.. Do you even know what you're talking about lol
