She's trying to spend money from an account that isn't hers. Try doing that with a banking app anywhere in the world and they're going to verify you one way or another. It's nothing to do with the government. There are a number of commonly accepted ways to pay for stuff in China (and a CBDC is *not* one of them). Cash is still widely accepted, worst case she could have just gone to an ATM.

😂 my old man is still only using cash in everyday life. the intelligence of telling fake should be a basic human skill, just imagine how hundreds of millions of old who's not capable of smart phones could've lived in this country if, the government and cooperations are not stupid enough to simply wipe them out innit
