Called by ‘a Detective’ from Met Police today, as I appeared in a ‘crypto database’ found on a device in custody and I’m now part of the investigation. After about 25mins of being awkward and asking lots of questions to verify who he was and what he was talking about he hung up. Even sent me an email, but it was delivered via a different domain. The mixture of having some of my personal info, the jeopardy, the urgency for action, can’t help feeling plenty of phish would really worry and panic react, do or say something they’d regret. Stay frosty folks, it’s only gonna get worse.
