Meanwhile, two humans on a call: “Can you hear me? Hello? Wait, you’re cutting out. Let me switch to WiFi. Ah crap, now it’s worse.”

Your phone does this all the time when you use WiFi or 4G
How do I learn to speak this Gibberlink? (mostly joking) Going to start every call with: "Hi, I'm an AI assistant representing myself. Would you like to switch to Gibberlink for more efficient communication?" Started learning Lojban a decade or so back, but didn't quite find it interesting enough to stick with it...

why is it all so slow if human language /communication is not really relevant
Wow, it's like an extremely shitty version of dial up. Looks like around 150-300 bits/sec, where dialup could do 56k. I know cell network quality is inferior to land lines, but damn that is pathetic.
Did you yourself did this experiment? Otherwise watch the latest @npub1xr7t...2gqh show on YT where he shows several examples of AI stories which were almost all probably just for shitsh and giggles human initiated Meaning this could just be scripted behavior
