Good. We wouldn't want those 12 words to be hate speech. I think it makes everyone safer this way.

Where did you get this from @Gigi? It's a highly inaccurate article, since this (terrible!) proposal is currently years away from becoming law (if at all).
It’d be fun to watch them try to ban people from creating a wallet with a pencil, paper and dice, build and sign transactions on an airgapped/offline device and give that file to a friend to broadcast for them anywhere in the planet. I learned from you @Gigi bitcoin doesn’t need permission.

European government needs to downgrade their people's intellience significant enough to disable them from the capability of remembering 12 words.
This text/vonclusion wrong afaik. Payments to service provider wallets have to be kycd. P2P transfers still legal. dyor That said, they are crazy enough to get there at some point, just not yet.

Anti-Money Laundering is code for Anti-Money Sovereignty. They are terrified of that.

They don't. Just need to keep the power and control over the people. These people and their motives are not that smart or complicated. Power, control and money.
I guess this is like saying you can own a gun but you can't fire it. Which makes perfect sense if you're firing it at an unarmed child playing with legos for instance. But if you're firing it at the gun range... at gun range targets.. 😁 So I guess this is similar to you taking your twelve words to the gun range. Not illegal, but using those twelve words to pay for bullets gets you shot? Something like that.

And they are going to keep taking and taking and taking and taking and taking and taking and taking... It's standard divide and conquer. And then they came for me..

It shouldn't be, but it will be in Europe. #Freedom isn't free.
Interesting example, it sounds like all that stuff only applies to regulated entities but then again in your example they might consider that this definition applies. Yes, trapped in that nonsense I start to miss the forest for the trees. It is ridiculous and it will get worse unfortunately.
It's like Soviet Russia. You're not going to act out because they can take you in and disappear you if you do. Most people are already scared of Bitcoin, so this will just be the nail in the coffin for them.
