i am just learning that Android chrome doesn't have browser extensions!? how do Android people use nostr web apps?!

Web nostr apps are mostly not usefull 😢 I stick with #amethyst

to be fair I mostly do the same (stick with damus) but sometimes it's nice to peruse the other stuff. looks like we've been spoiled on iOS with Safari extensions, like signing and highlighting things on the web
So THAT'S the problem bunker solves. Tried Kiwi browser for this but extensions still didn't work right.

you shouldn't need to install other apps to use nostr apps. hopefully we can solve this with our nostr browser, at least in a small way for now.
Amethyst only on my android. I use the web apps on my desktop.

they don't? no, i think there is at least ways to use a signer like #citrine tho, never tried though. that's the main thing you need

i use brave, which is the same, but less spooky
we could make a notedeck app for that. then you could use damus Android as the signer

i think for individuals that's great, but I like to think in terms of serving the most people and the types of apps they use, so we can scale nostr to a wider market
@Keychat does this nicely. Not sure what browser engine it uses under the hood?
Outside of that, Amber bunker works nicely too.
Keychat uses the OS WebView for it's browser. The Android OS webview is Chromium based.

Unlike on desktop, where the Nostr ID is a browser extension, in Keychat, the browser (WebView) is an extension of the ID and BTC wallet.
Vanadium is Chromium based but with a lot of security and privacy changes. Because Vanadium is also the OS WebView you can run apps using WebView in a safer fashion, they benefit from such features:
