Yeah it's crazy how heavily censored the word retard is. I've had things taken down on Facebook for mentioning fire retardant when talking about the bushfires.

It's one of the paths forward. At this early stage we need to cheer all the paths, Nostr, ATproto, Pubky, Farcaster, Holepunch, the Iroh stuff, all of it. And find ways to combine strengths, or at the very least learn from the unique advantages of each. This whole "I won't give [insert other thing] a second thought because it's too left-leaning, or blockchain-ish, or P2P-ish, or company-ish, etc..." is definitely not the way forward.

That's a popular one. Anyone on Nostr that's truly in it for the tech will have explored all the rest, they'll have read the Pubky blogs (twice), they'll have installed Keet, they'll have paid $3 for Farcaster, they might have even kicked the tires on DPC's Rostra. And they'll have useful things to say about all of them. Those are the good ones.
