I'm seeing so many lies about @Luke Dashjr that I'm even considering whether I should get out of bitcoin. This is very serious.
If you don't know how Github forks work, you'd better keep quiet, or else you're a real son of a bitch @Jameson Lopp.
I pretty much stopped caring what Saylor says about things but because I haven't heard him weigh in on these issues (citing only to ossification) gives me the bad feels.
Pull requests don't work differently in forks than they do upstream. Remember that I also maintain my own fork of Bitcoin Core.
Luke is doing something nonstandard when maintaining Knots that makes it far more difficult to track what's happening.
It certainly doesn't improve it, but it's such a blatant attack on bitcoin, supported by what I consider to be a majority, that it makes me lose hope in this experiment.
No use giving up on the country because you can't convince politicians on the other team your way of thinking. They are too financially invested in not seeing your viewpoint.
Guess you'll have to decide if it's worth it. I don't think there is any majority, it's probably more like the typical 20/60/20. The 60% aren't really paying attention and don't take sides right away. I guess we'll see if/when v30 is released.
You literally invested in the company. If you did that without expectation of returns I have no words. But you know you didn’t. Ergo it is reasonable to assume that your interest in Citrea’s success ( and your future reward for that success ) might possibly color your view of this matter. There is no doubt that Citrea would benefit from a more open protocol. So let’s be honest in that in fact Citrea might have a part in your motives.
So saying “Citrea doesn’t pay me” while technically correct doesn’t even come close to telling the full story.
I have no expectation of returns.
I expect almost every startup in which l invest will fail.
I treat angel investments like donations, because even if they don't go to zero, I most likely would be better off financially by holding on to the bitcoin.
I could use an 😇 to fund drilling a well on my land for my family.
I can do all the rest, I just can't afford the well.

No use in quitting when you’re winning. We’re winning and Knots pushing 19% is evidence. All odds were stacked against Knots, Luke and the rest of us, and we still made it so far.
