I think it's worth recording and timestamping the`whois` reports for these domains today. Many were updated -- within minutes or hours of each other. It feels like they're all controlled by the same decision maker. If you don't timestamp these as they are right now, will lose that this activity occurred in response to this post since someone can decide to update later in a less suspicious manner.

the state of .i2p addresses isn't that great. you own your b32.i2p address, but if you want a vanity i2p address you basically go to a registrar and ask for them to pretty please add it to a text file. it's first come first served, and they selectively mirror each other. you don't own it and there's nothing stopping a registrar from pointing it at something else. they may also drop it at their own discretion for made up reasons like if the contents of your eepsite are "overtly offensive." the obvious solution would be to just do the associations on a blockchain thing but this hasn't been built out yet.

I have strong evidence that links Coinkite and/or NVK as the definitive owners of the domain names.
There are also domains they own relating to other projects, and name-squatting attempts at Nostr and Bitcoin related domains.
Oh I wasnβt advocating for either one. Though I am very interested in what foundation is doing. Itβs just not the first time Iβve heard things like these.
