Good times. I remember when games had both Windows and DOS modes. And you better guess the right IRQs during setup or things wouldn't work quite right.

😂😂🤣 probably would have complained that it was inhumane to ask a person to spend more than a second to store/save something 🙏🏽 there would have been uproar I actually miss my Postman Pat cassette tapes 🥹 had good times with those 😌

🤯😱 whaaaa is that safe? I mean it must be but they haven’t decided to use anything else? 👀 kinda cool but I know Richard Branson must have a rainy day stash somewhere to improve it 🤣😂
It’s safe, the 747’s are from the 80’s so they just use the storage that was available at the time They stopped making them recently so it’s probably CDs in the new ones 🤣
Yes. I remember typing the command line prompts and then counting with the cassette player until the game was loaded. I played mission impossible with it, which required playing the cassette for every level.

Blooody hell 😂😂😂🤣 Ahh man do you remember video tapes ! I miss blockbuster 😂🤣🥹
To be honest, I remember little of mine. Pretty sure I had two games at most, so the only way to play something new was to type the code in myself from a book of my parents bought me. Finally we upgraded to the C64, which at least had a pretty good trade in pirated games.
We had one of these between 40 of us at school & we did a course called CLAIT on it - computer literacy & info tech , brings a little nostalgia tear to my eye 🥲😊
I was so excited when my parents bought our first XP machine in 2002!
I'm Windows 98 old and since becoming more UNIXy, I almost exclusively use Silicon Graphics motif-themed GUIs. 90s just got it right.
What drove me nuts was reloading the game from the start after making a mistake with the tape.

Ahhh the old 3.11
I have a TRS-80 in storage. I need to fire it up and show my kid. The Model 100 is still nice to type on for text things, so I may start letting him play with that a bit. I have some of the comics, also, but no memory of how I got them.
