A colleague of mine thinks that DOGE will pump because Elon's new govt department has the same name. This is the level of thinking of most degen crypto trading addicts. Dude needs to just stay humble and stack sats.

I have considered myself Libertarian for a long time, but have become dissatisfied with the ideology. Not that I don't want freedom, far from it, but you can't be free from the tyranny of the state by ignoring it, calling it immoral or economically inefficient, or trying to hide from it. They only way is to play the game and win. You must build a coalition and have a political formula that will allow you and your allies to gain power and fight back against your enemies. You can't say hey dude, I just want to be left alone! There are too many power hungry people out there who want more than anything to rule over you. And if you leave them alone, they will rule. Libertarianism provides no coherent solution other than lip service. Yes, we understand that the state is bad and freedom is good. So fucking what? When the agents of the state come knocking at your door, what do you intend to do about it, complain? Explain how economically damaging some of these insane policies are? The people in power and their agents don't care if they make you worse off as long as they make themselves and their friends better off. In fact, they legit want to make you poor and make their friends rich beacuse that's what politics is. And by choosing not to play, you lose! I do think that building technology to fight back against tyranny will help lessen the power of any despot, but if those in power are motivated and competent enough, they will find a way to mitigate against the effects of the new tech. They might even find a way to exploit it for their benefit. The only solution to tyranny is to join together, fight, and win. And we must win for our future and the future of our children depends on it.

Trump is a narcistic megalomaniac who appeals primarily to chuds. Panders to bitcoin/crypto crowd for votes, but doesn't get it at all. RFK gets bitcoin, might even be considered a bitcoiner given how well versed he sounds. He's delusional about other things like wifi/cellphones and vaccines. He's the least bad from a foreign policy standpoint, but is a light socialist economically. Mamala is a joke that the left is stuck supporting because it would be an incredibly bad look to push a woman of color aside. Has no real opinions of her own, and probably has no idea what bitcoin even is. To my fellow Americans, which flavor of poison would you choose?

It's mind boggling how many financial/economic decisions are made based on misleading data. CPI drastically understates the effect of inflation. GDP is an almost meaningless aggregate Unemployment rate Fed forward guidance What am I missing?

NOSTR is just more chill. Anytime I venture back over to X, I feel like I've re-entered the pointless Red vs. Blue contest and other time wasting endeavors. Plus, I love being able to zap plebs. Brings me great pleasure to send little love packages around on the internet.

I can't wait until it becomes more convenient to live a Bitcoin only life. Because I'm too lazy to do it at this point.

I remember believing some bullshit that owning gold and silver was going to make me rich and powerful some day. Are we making the same mistake now with Bitcoin?
