Yesterday we had a town council meeting, the objectors were mostly ignored (not cameras yet privacy is a major part of it).
I live in a place with high crime rate, there are cameras everywhere - your remarks are all on points.
more people need to be like you and get involved at the local level.

I went to my commission about banning these. Their initial comments were "we don't know anything about this , let us research and get back to you".
The next time I brought it up their response was "we don't use them, it's the municipality".
Then when I came back because the sheriff told me, yes they were using them they just said they aren't interested in banning them and I don't have $11k to get an issue on the ballot.
