Thanks dude, def checking that out today
Are we are the part where I'm sleeping in the same bedroom with 10 others?
we gonna get that SA policy aren't we?
avoiding that outcome at an individual level is why i am a broken record about it

All good. I appreciate it.
I find myself repeating it to others quite often. Though, I know no one understands. Maybe it's just for my own peace of mind.

Nah. Shriver had to write Bitcoin out of her story specifically because it prevents the downfall she was trying to narrate:
> “The dollar is a historied currency that’s stabilized the international economy for over a century, Wilbur. The bancor is an upstart pretender whose constraints are unworkably strict. We just have to hold our nerve. After all—look at what happened to bitcoin.”
No one will be holding their nerve to save the dollar.
she wrote the book in 2015 when it was completely reasonable to expect bitcoin to fail, shes a bitcoiner now
just like in the book, some people will fare better than others, bitcoin will be a useful tool for those people
Yeah, no judgement on writing it out. Post Mt. Gox it wasn’t clear it’d recover.
I’m just arguing that we won’t get a Mandibles scenario because we have a superior money available everywhere.

Understood... but I've never seen a timeline associated with this prediction... btc standard when? What is your best guess? 5, 10, 25, 50 years? IMO, they'll be heavily pushing people to get chipped in five, thus I'll say btc standard in10.
Always has been
Started reading mandibles last night 🤝

Let's skip mandibles. Leapfrog.

Problem > solution
Was hopeful to avoid this path...
Seeming more and more inevitable
