Today marks DAY THREE of the "Rizful 300" awards initiative. Each day, starting October 30th 2025, we are highlighting 10 Nostr OGs, and sending each a zap of 10,000 sats, for a total of 3,000,000 satoshis, over 30 days. On a daily basis, we carefully review the entire list of Nostr users to determine which are OGs. This turns out to be complicated, since the term "OG" has no useful meaning.

oh - "According to an essay by Steve Champion and Anthony Ross, former members of the Crips street gang in Los Angeles, the initialism O.G. was first used by the Crips in the early 1970's" clearly any part of the English language that was created by The Crips is a good part of the English language

I would call nostr OGs individuals who were there at the start such as @jack And, for Bitcoin I would call @npub1ck7p...qqwq or @npub1546j...f9mt Bitcoin OGs.
