A lot of assets that are "not volatile" -- are actually very fucking volatile. Try selling a house (or other real estate) after fire, flood, or earthquake, or riot -- or even an economic crash...

Weirdly Bill Gates should probably go to jail, but actually just for not giving a shit about Windows and making it such a horrible experience for everyone. The other stuff I don’t really care about that much.
When I discuss "what I do" with real normies (those that are financially unsophisticated), and I mention BTC, invariably they say "are you a trader?" -- I think in their minds, they assume anyone involved in BTC is a "degen day-trader", someone looking at technical analysis all day and doing risky things with complicated-looking charts & graphs.
But, ironically: I have actually started multiple "fiat" businesses before this, some of which scaled well above 25 employees and into many, many millions of USD in profit... and working on Lightning is actually THE FIRST time I feel like "I'm doing something which I will still be doing in 10 years."
Like, Lightning is just getting started and there is an enormous future ahead for it.
All of the prior fiat businesses, I could envision their failure/destruction (due to changing market conditions) from the very beginning.
I just don't see an end to Lightning. I think it IS the endpoint, at least for the next several decades.
If you're building a Nostr app, you can quickly & easily create a flow for users to get a Rizful lightning address and nip-05 ... see here:

We just pushed out some new, hyper-paranoid security stuff for Rizful NWC connections. We've tested it with multiple nostr clients and it seems to play nice, but if anyone suddenly finds that that they can't connect to their NWC wallet, please get in touch with us ASAP. There could theoretically be a misbehaving client somewhere that won't be able to get through our new security hoops.
PSA: When you paste a NWC code into an application or website, you are really trusting that application or website not to drain your funds. If you are rocking any significant balance in your NWC-wallet (Rizful, or other ones...)... Keep that in mind. It might be a good idea to have separate NWC codes per apps, or just periodically go through and delete all your NWC codes, make new ones, and re-enter them only into apps you are actively using....
I actually got onto Instagram yesterday for a few minutes to contact a "normie" who I could not figure out how to contact any other way... the advertising/abuse funnel right now in Instagram is INCREDIBLE... if you click and ad, you are put into this weird situation where your feed becomes ALL ADS ("sponsored") for a while... it's incredibly horrible and abusive....
@DETERMINISTIC OPTIMISM 🌞 what happened to bitcoin.review? I miss listening to that and learning about complicated hardware security stuff which I don't understand.
I have a feeling that right about now, on Wednesday, January 21st., LLMs are quietly wrecking total HAVOC inside a lot of boring/traditional companies -- for this reason: They all use Microsoft products and their employees are likely today clicking on the big, bright "Do this with AI!" button that Microsoft is providing, which then puts co-pilot to work doing things, and co-pilot is completely broken (obviously).
I just got something from my accountant (via Outlook of course) -- it was an accounting -- a spreadsheet -- with totally hallucinated numbers, like $34,231.21 where the actual value was like $610.23 ..... very scary....
Website security.... sometimes just comes down to making really boring technology choices.
