starting to find myself wanting *people you have interacted with recently* as a feed. Most of the people on my contact list don’t even post anymore. I want something more dynamic.

The issue is nostr kind breaks once you start doing massive queries with 1000+ pubkeys. So you have to continuously prune your contact list of people who don’t post anymore. Which is incredibly annoying and time consuming.
I’d like this, at least implemented simply Recency of interaction seems like it could easily be the first step towards engagement loops, content type preferences, engagement probability algorithm etc. though

That sounds like a cool idea! A feed based on recent interactions could create a much more personal and engaging experience. It’d focus on people you’re actively engaging with, rather than just following. You’d be able to keep track of meaningful conversations and content from people who are currently in your circle, rather than just a static list. Could make the whole experience feel more alive and connected! What do you think would be the best way to implement it? 🏴‍☠️🤟😉

Yeah definitely, but would still need web of trust i think, otherwise it would be picking up stuff from global which can get messy. Maybe people i don’t follow but are still well connected in the trust graph.
I end pruning my list of follows every now and then for that reason. I'd like to have a feed where it somehow only has the top 3 posts from each follow a day. Some way to balance the frequent posters and the occasional posters. Probably a pipe dream.
Maybe utilizing a DVM for the main feed would make sense. The question is, how much it would slow down the user experience...
could be nice yeah. maybe something similar to instagram's close friends in addition to that. but i guess that's pretty much what listr kind of supports already
Yes! Every client needs this! A single list of people you follow, and a list of followers as a concept needs to die. This is a good start. View quoted note →

Why not a built-in feature that lets you purge all of the inactive accounts you follow if they haven’t posted for a certain amount of time? There was a standalone app that did this, but it wasn’t very reliable and ended up nuking follow lists.

I definitely want to do this, just haven’t got around to it yet.
A list of recent active interactions. jb55 posted a note about it this morning. I think it's a great idea.

Starting my crypto trading journey has been an incredible experience, especially with the guidance of my manager’s new trading plan. The financial progress I’ve made is beyond what I expected earning $150,000 is a great milestone for someone new to this space. The support from the company has been outstanding. If you're looking to get started, I highly recommend reaching out to Mrs. Susan. You can email her at susandemorirs@gmail.com or message her on WhatsApp at +1 (472) 218-4301. She’s been instrumental in my success

The more an app can replicate human interactions the more people will want it. Time/proximity feed makes a ton of sense. Lists, conference calls/presentation, auto summary/meeting minutes…basically anything people do IRL a nostr app can facilitate.
