I hope he is coping well in today's world after being locked up for so long. A lot has changed since then.

I'm extremely happy for Ross and also for the fact that Trump did what he said he would. A good start I'd say. As for Ross, I hope to see a lot of him in the space! If I could tell him one thing, that would be to enjoy his freedom and try to forgive the people that wanted to take away his life. Forgive, not forget. View quoted note →

"Gimme some time guys, still can't believe it!"
I don't know man, I don't think I believe that story, I'm sure he had skeletons in his closet and he definitely did benefit from the death of people given that the silk road mostly dealt in illegal drugs and he had many big drug cartels in, but I don't think that the story the FBI told is the real one, it's way too convenient and has way too many holes in my opinion
Nobody believes it because there's a webpage saying it's a lie, therefore people feel like they "did research". This is like the IQ bell curve. Ulbricht is the George Floyd of Bitcoin. He didn't deserve to die, nor to be worshiped.
He didn’t get charged with murder for hire… why wouldn’t the government pursue that if he actually did that?

I doubt you hold pharmacists to the same standard. There is no line that can be trivially drawn between medicine and drugs and it certainly isn't appropriate to be telling adults whether or not they can alter their own consciousnesses.

OK, I take that back. I still believe humans should be allowed to alter consciousness as they please. It is insanely infantalizing to attempt to prohibit this stuff. No one blames breweries for alcoholism.
People should have the right to alter their consciousness however they want. abuse by a minority doesn't change that.
the review functionality prevented deaths. the community fostered a culture of harm reduction. they even had an actual doctor hanging around in their forums. the ability to pick up without meeting anyone in person also prevented stabbings and other forms of violence. it was a major breakthrough in making the drug trade safer.

I think it's not correct to do so. I don't support prohibition of mind altering substances.
