Software is the bottleneck, it always has been.

I keep coming back to thinking I should’ve been a systems engineer. My entire mindset revolves around finding bottlenecks and eliminating them, constraint breeds innovation, I love limits, because they should be broken, that’s what I do. Imagine what your 10-year-old PC could run if devs (of both the OS and every app running on it) actually cared *enough* to slice out even half of their bottlenecks. And imagine how much more efficient Amazon could be if they simply placed the boxes in their van in the order they’ll be fucking delivered.
