Good morning
Everyone will have personal, local, offline AI in the future. It's the only safe way to do AI imo.
And to the skeptical I say to you, People didn't believe everyone would have a computer in 1990 either, especially when they could just go to the library to use a computer for way cheaper

It wont just be in their iphone? Do they need stronger hardware than that?
That lightbulb went on for me past few weeks. The only issue is updated information since model release and its just not a big deal
Even before AI was a thing, I've always wanted a personal computer assistant that I can speak to with natural language and it just does things for me. Whether it's inane bullshit like manage a calendar or To do in task management or whatever.
Also, while I'm thinking about Magical Fantasyland, one day a basic server rack for self-hosted appliances will be the norm and as common as a dishwasher.
Probably yes, phone is a computer too sir
They'll be way easier to manage for an agent so should be much more accessible

Introducing Ensu, our first step toward a private, personal LLM app that runs on your device and grows with you over time.
Try it out or get an asswhoppin. Bitch.
Totally agree. AI as it being built today is totally unsustainable, and can go on only thanks to massive subsidies.
They're trying to take all our computers and leave us with thin clients though
Replace the ostrich with an octopus; it can run eight thin clients.

Drop the Fucking Ostrich
Drop the Fucking Ostrich β A Completely Serious Nostr Mascot Reform Campaign
Nostr deserves a better mascot. Four serious contenders, twenty more possibilities, and one deeply unfair investigation.
Itβll be the most enjoyable as well.

I think that too. So we have to make it opensource and private! So it wont be the ultimate data collection source.
this is already true for many of us but hopefully it stays that way
Hi
In 1990, the Soviet Union was never going to allow its victims to have their own computers.
In 2030, the West won't either...
They most certainly do sir, most people have more compute in their pocket than I had on my desk in 1990
Also glm runs on 2 sparks which I bought for 8k
