Me either, technically, but it seems if each users posts and its replies were in a "room", and then a client was developed to read and aggregate the posts and replies in a given set of "rooms" and then served up in a thread like way, it might be possible.

Key point: Gossip connects to all relays necessary to cover everybody you follow, while also trying to listen to the minimum number of relays necessary to do that,

That seems like a more efficient way to choose relays in general instead of just starting with the most popular or whatever broad criteria. Relays get chosen based on who you follow.

If the relays are the rooms, would it be possible for each pubkey holder to run a relay on their device using holepunch as the initial seeder. Each follower who joined the relay would also become a seeder for said relay. As the number of followers increased, the overall relay bandwidth would also scale.

You have to use terminal to install it so its a bit challenging to get started. If you are new, I would just focus on enjoying nostr and explore it once you love nostr enough to go through the setup process.
Its very cypherpunk with very technical options, but its lots of fun. Once its all setup I enjoy it more than other desktop options.

for better anonymity, consider adding a paraphraser/rephraser, with a case normalizer; a deidiosyncrasyizer
