Which #nostr clients can render Kind 30078?
I’m curious to see how my recipes are rendered on other clients.
GM #nostr
I’m pretty happy with my AI generated Meal Plan feature. Works very well.
I was pondering if it’s worth it to create a #Nostr focus web recipe client (AI, Zap, log in, etc) or a Self Hosted #nostr recipe manager.
My Feedme self hosted instance already leverage #nostr by publishing Kind30078 fully schema compatible to relays in order to backup recipes and migrate to other instance.
Is it worth the week worth of work?
#asknostr

My selfhosted project is near completion. It’s leveraging #nostr for backup.
I was thinking of doing a pure #Nostr fork.
Should I do a selfhosted fork, or a pure website?

Let it rip!
New feature now fully integrated in this afternoon release.
Thx for the input!

I was underestimating the complexity of the behavior or different platforms(iOS, Android, desktop).
Needless to say, I successfully managed to make it possible to update my pantry items by using their barcode.
Needs improvement but at least it’s there.

GM #nostr!
What would you guys want to see in a recipe app?
#asknostr
Current Feedme features:
- AI generation — describe a dish and get a full recipe with photo
- RSS import — subscribe to recipe sites; new recipes land automatically
- URL import — paste any recipe page URL to extract and save it
- Image import — photograph a cookbook page or recipe card; AI extracts it
- Staging workflow — all imports require your approval before going active
- Meal planner — assign recipes to days across a weekly calendar
- Pantry tracking — log what you have with quantities
- Grocery list — automatically calculates what to buy based on your meal plan and pantry
- Nostr backup — optional decentralized backup of your recipe library
- No account, no cloud, no tracking — your data stays on your server
Next step is to enhance the pantry management via Barcode scanning.
Alright #nostr,
First iteration of my Recipe app is out.
Good Ai features, self hosted, easy Nostr publish/import.
I need you guys to test it, break it, and give me features you want to see.
Been working on it for about a month.
Anyone want to try it? #asknostr

GM #nostr,
It’s a great day to build!
Yes, now I have fully implemented publishing recipes from my self hosted recipe instance.
No need of a client and friction. Simply publish it, and import it from another instance. You can either browse recipe on the relay or optionally filter by npub to transfer from one server to the other.
Normies don’t even have to know what Nostr is. I am using relays as decentralized backup servers

This is getting real!

As I’m improving my project, I am seeing the endless potential for subscription.
I could make it published on a paid relay, I could unlock advanced features with subscription, I could charge a few sats per cards, etc.
But this wouldn’t be what I stand for.
Fuck that. I have started my journey because I was interested in FOSS and sovereignty.
My ethos will not change. Everything will be open source and free.
I am just building whatever I was subscribing to. Next project will be workout app
Finally, small iteration of my test project “Vault”.
Basically a wallet which tracks your Giftcards. You can keep tab of the ones you buy with Bitrefill of #Monero.
Selfhosted, easy install via docker-compose.
You should keep your gift card handy because might not fully work with all yet.
