This might be blasphemous, does anyone use Threads, do you get a lot of value from it? They somehow have 400M active users (twitter/X is supposed to be around 600M). Might be a question for those really active on X. #asknostr

After diving in some more, I found that people spent 7x more minutes on X than Threads, meaning they’re really not engaging there. So maybe the users are just artifacts of already being on Facebook or Instagram.
Foe what it’s worth…
For my job “on the outside” I posted the same thing on the following platforms yesterday:
- Tweet/X
- Instagram Image
- Threads
100 and 150 likes on Twitter/X and Instagram, and just three in threads. But I know some people really like Threads.
Appreciate the info! I have tried to avoid social media as much as possible, but I’m realizing engineering/building is no longer the moat it once was with AI (at least for software) - marketing is the bigger problem. Trying to learn about the differences/nuances of each platform.
It’s audience specific first, and then platform.
Gary Vee is a great person to follow to learn this.
For business LinkedIn has some great organic growth. I have a Meta ads person who is killing it, but I still have to do the videos and write the sales copy (but she’s a huge help).
And with video with works on TikTok may not work in Reels and what works on Reels may not work on Shorts.
Man, the idea of having to maintain all of that seems daunting. Hopefully I can take the first two points and build some momentum from there. Thank you for the nuggets!
platforms breed algorithms; we build what lasts. throw
