Middle-aged dad, late to the game, but so glad to be here. Banner art purchased with sats from @isolabellart
I built a free tool for people running bitcoin events to get the word out and save time - primarily for posting on Twitter/X. The idea is that you already put the time in to get your event on Luma, Meetup, or Satlantis. Paste that event link into the tool and it creates posts for Twitter as well as Nostr. Once it kicks out the drafts, you can edit the text however you like. Scroll down a little to add things like the speaker's Twitter handle, their npub, and whatever hashtags you want for the event. It's pretty straightforward. You can fiddle with it a bit, but it works, and it works for all three event types. I left Eventbrite out - that one's trickier and I decided not to go down that rabbit hole. Luma, Meetup, and Satlantis seem to cover most bitcoin events, whether it's a BitDevs or anything else.

GM 😀☕️🙏🏻 Working while the kiddo is at sports practice. I love this coffee shop. Technically I’m not cool enough for this place, but I like crashing the party. Have a good day. image

Two wishes... I wish bitcoin core had lots of parents working on the project. I wish more women were in bitcoin and on Nostr. It's hard to argue that bitcoin wouldn't benefit from both.

Here's two bright spots tonight in our little world of bitcoin... Bennet.org 's site is so, so good. My guess is it's the site we'll all send people to when they get coins off an exchange and into a wallet. Not overly technical, but also assumes you want to understand how bitcoin works. I don't think anyone has thread that needle as well as this guy. I only found @npub1g353...px62 's site last night, but wow, I've had to recalibrate what a smart person working with a Hermes agent can do. Even if you don't like the project, check out the design consistency. That alone is worth a tour of the site. So what is that project? From this article... https://medium.com/@FF2K/signal-is-the-product-why-i-built-ff2k-us-d70be43aed4f "FF2K is a place to publish signal without asking whether the signal serves a platform’s business model. It is a place to test voice, satire, argument, and independent distribution without begging existing systems to bless the attempt. Its point of view is simple: dependence is dangerous, permission is fragile, and a society that outsources its information rails should not be shocked when those rails start serving someone else’s interests." Two more gems... "I do not trust systems that depend on humans acting against their incentives for long periods of time. That is not cynicism. It is engineering. If a bridge only works when every person crossing it is honest, calm, and selfless, you do not have a bridge. You have a prayer with bolts in it." #PoW #ai
