Wow, it's been four months since my last Nostr Note. I missed you guys. Thank you for all the prayers; my daughter got out a couple of days after this post π. Life's been a beautiful whirlwind since. My daughter is beautiful, happy, and healthy. I am truly blessed. I can see what they mean when they say "it takes a village to raise a child." It took some struggling at first, but we are getting the hang of this parent thing and finally got some good routines.
Nostr, what have I missed? I've been lurking at times but not enough to stay on top of stuff. The latest

Thank you for all the prayers and love. Honestly, Nostr, there is no second best π. The good news is that my baby girl is finally breathing on her own. My wife finally got to hold her yesterday. Everything is progressing well, and maybe she can finally come home soon! It's been a long couple of weeks. The bad news is that she failed her hearing test, which got us a little worried, but I read that it's common for premature babies to fail their initial test. We will remain positive. Thank you again for all the prayers and love, it really lifted our spirits. Love you all πππ«π«

Yeah babies do consume time, but man is it worth it to see your kids grow. I see friends and family without kids and I don't envy their life at all.

Yea it's my first. I am new to all of this but yea a lot of my friends from the past still don't have kids and we are in our mid thirties. It's a very different life. Definitely has given life a lot more meaning. #plebdad life π€
That's when we started as well. Tough time for age but the wisdom and experience you have from that age more than makes up for it. Congratulations again to both of y'all. Very cute baby. Enjoy it all, even the crappy times. Looking back on it all the cliches are true lol.

I will say from my POV as a dad it became wayyyyyy more fun when mine started to walk. That's when the real adventure begins now is bonding time though. I have enjoyed each life stage even the aggravating points. Mine are still under 12 so no telling what that's going to be like. They have brought so much hope and joy back to me. I was and still a bit deeply cynical but with them I was able to see the joy, wonder and magic of the world again.
Same for me if I had been in my 20s with mine. Yes, she will shoot up and change just as fast as weeds. Pay attention to the cliches you use as she grows and laugh at it.
