Solved Just like that Game over
This is a great question. Nostr isn't generally anonymous. Your IP can be logged whenever you communicate with a relay. So I assume as soon as someone starts putting drugs on nostr market, relays will begin getting subpoenas. What are the ways around this? Use a throwaway nostr identity and route all of your questionably-legal nostr activity through Tor? Maybe we will see no-log nostr relays pop up. You would still be trusting them though, and a relay could be run by law enforcement trying to catch you. So I don't really see any way except using Tor.
Ben, please please please, take the spyware off your website ( nostr . com ). It gives the whole space that are going the extra mile for privacy a mixed message. You do so much good work, but if you stop sending nostr user IP addresses to 3rd parties, it would be so much better.
He's talking about njump located on only `/<event>` I think, which has some tracking (not by us, but the njump project). If he hates njump so much he should fork, and create a version without tracking we can use🙏
It's just a censorship p2p marketplace client. YOU decide on the merchants you expose yourself to. We will maintain a list of merchants for convenience but only for vanilla clearnet stuff.
OH man. That is soooo awesome. I had a super profitable business shut down by eBay when they changed the rules. No longer a thing!
