Visiting a village in Malawi that now has electricity because of Gridless and #Bitcoin mining was such an incredible experience. In Malawi, the median salary is $2.00 per day and in the village we visited, it’s closer to $1.00. Worse, Malawi just had a currency debasement of 44% 3 weeks ago. It touched my soul to meet and spend time with these amazing people, to see the laughter of the children, and to hear how #Bitcoin is changing their lives. I would say good luck to anyone who thinks that #Bitcoin can be stopped. Because they are fighting a redistribution of power away from manipulation and exploitation of people back to them and to the free market. image

Thanks for the powerful note Jeff. 🫡🤝💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
In the last bull market, we didn’t have these kinds of transformational stories to point to. Now we do. The next couple of years (and beyond) are going to be like nothing we’ve experienced

Just read about the devaluation of the currency😞 any videos or documentation of the trip you’re willing to share?
Thank you @Jeff Booth. This is wonderful to hear. How is Bitcoin helping them? Are there actual use cases benefiting them right now? Can you identify use cases that need to be created and will benefit them?

Wow, many projects twnd to die out in Africa after a few months. Good Sign. Infrastructure Demand drives supply.
Thanks for sharing this inspiring story, Jeff. Real-world cases about innovative energy usage via mining are as important as Bitcoin adoption in business.

❤️‍🔥 That's some superhero stuff. Thanks.
The best part of this note was the last paragraph. The best the grifter class can do is slow global adoption down, only helping the third world become the first world.

So these poor people are able to afford electricity for free? Or they get bitcoin? How is it trickling down?

The Bloom Library literacy site now has its first book about bitcoin: Your friends in Malawi can translate the easy-to-read book into their language with the Bloom Editor. Better yet, they can create their own bitcoin books and publish them on Bloom. They know their audience best
Dang Jeff, that was truly heartwarming. I’m interested in btc and it’s applications helping the most disadvantaged. Thanks for sharing this.
This is where magic is happening. And it's outside of all the crazy who, wef, imf, gates, schwab, us, Euro, etc. These are the people who need it the most and have been forgotten, or worse, abused by the systems that people like Jamie dimond and Liz warren are promoting.
This is both sad for the first world and amazing for the developing nations. View quoted note → Also, here, Bitcoiners are doing their best to improve and embrace lives all around the world. It is just about time. Bitcoiners are building their citadels in the least expected places for now. Smart countries will soon start offering us what they have, so we move there.
