I tipped my bartender last night 30K sats. It felt good. The best part? The brewery owner's wife asked me if we could have a Bitcoin night. Just a one time event to teach all of the bartenders about Bitcoin and see if others want to start accepting tips in Bitcoin too. 👀

What's your approach Derek? Do you simply ask if they'd like the tip in #Bitcoin? If so, and they say yes, what is your follow up? Is it to download Wallet of Satoshi? I'd love to know if you don't mind sharing.

Bullish on tax fraud 🚀 (Half joking. The state probably doesn’t deserve a cut of tips anyways)

Capital gains taxes need to paid on every one of those bartender tips. We underestimate the importance of getting tax law changed so that either bitcoin is recognized as a currency (instead of property) or that small transactions like tipping become exempt from capital gains taxes.

Que bien esa adopción me encantó Derek, la voy a implementar al menos cuando me junte con mis amigos
are you technically correct? yes. do employees that get tips report and count every single part of their tips in their taxes? that's not up to me to care or worry about. as for tax laws getting updated, again, yes, you are correct. we need them to be updated for bitcoin into a much more favorable manner.
i wish this weren't the case, but the go to here is WoS because of LNURL / LN Address support. i don't want to have to ask them to give me an invoice for a specific amount. that's time consuming and a hassle. it needs to be as easy as cash for them. i view this as step one in a two step process. eventually i'll teach them about self custody and using a different wallet such as Phoenix or Mutiny, a wallet that they fully control. after i get them to install a wallet, i tip them more than i normally would. i tell them that ill also post their wallet online and get them random tips from strangers all around the world. and then i tell them that every time i come back ill always tip them in bitcoin.

That's awesome Derek. I spoke with a mathematician today and mentioned #decentralised #socials & #finance (honestly that's about my my total understanding of all this ) She was not interested in the slightest... Next the #temp #domestic #worker, now she was all over it .. ohhh she said "everything starts small " you must have some very clever friends. "I kinda do" said I & you know what she said ? " #Knowledgeispower sounds like this will go far and rubbed her fingers #together in that #cash sign thing #goodnight " & carried on #tidyingup #Sheila from #Kenya you're amazing ty. https://iris.to/npub1chf854dd982dq5w0l0mwcmdhuvf2jtnuz5nqv9qtukfukvjew50q83g5tx
