Relatable. So far I am able to dissmiss it with “I don’t want to own it, maybe I’ll just rent it someday.”
Cars are fun, but they are a pain in the ASS to keep up, and in good condition. Recommendation: Go to Sixt and rent a Ferarri for a day. Get it out of your system :-)

“If your car is younger than Bitcoin, you are not stacking hard enough” - your words, not mine. Look for an older Porsche - those are actually cooler. 😉
Nah, you may be old enough in Bitcoin cycles for a Porsche, but too young in actual years. Treat yourself to something else and save the Porsche for later.
what cars do you own? i have an average 5 seater with a shitty engine. baby #3 coming soon and looking to upgrade to a 7 seater diesel
I've been eyeing 1980s 944. You sure you don't want a Jaguar? I hear they're really progressive.

Before you consider paying the Porsche premium look at a used R8. That V10 is a lot more special. Currently have a 981 Cayman S and have spent a lot of time in a friends 997 Turbo w/ around ~700hp on low boost. Porsches are brilliant but the premiums are becoming excessive. The R8 V10 has a lot of emotion and character
Don’t do it @HODL You are the reason my wife and I only have 1 car. Shortly after you posted that video in 2021 of you selling your car for bitcoin, we did the same thing. One of the best financial decisions we’ve made.
yes! same here. and I would want to be comfortable driving into the ground too... I do wonder sometimes about the trade-off for getting a newer car so I could wire it up with George Hotz Comma AI self driving hardware for $1000. But i like my old car design. I just wish newer Toyota's came with a "dog mode" to stay cool in summer like Teslas. just in case Santa is listening, these would be wishes on new car: --able to wire Comma Ai --dog mode --high ground clearance for Texas beach/big bend national park desert roads and potentially an excursion thru Mexico to El Salvador
Had to check this out 😝 It seems they're mainly in the business of selling expensive convenience (cabin hosts are a red flag, don't need 'em). If I had enough sats to even consider flying private, I'd be chartering. It's a bit more hassle to organize but will get you flying for much less than a whole coin. And now I'll get back to trying to find the cheapest economy tickets...
Omg great news the 2000 Toyota Avalon is in the shop. It is not a transmission issue and should be good for another 50,000 miles.
