It's about finding new ways to connect each other again, starting from connecting with ourselves. More healing and love, there are many creators on nostr who are doing a great job at this, that are not as known - we just need reach to make social media fun/human again! To name a few, check us out.

Healing starts with nutrient-dense food, like organ meats and fatty cuts, to nourish our bodies and minds.
I feel Nostr is more about building connections and community, then being just a creator or influencer.
It’s much more about interacting and sharing truly who we are, then trying to be seen by playing a roll 💕
Thanks for the shoutout, @npub1syaz...gmnw 💖🙌🧚♀️⚡Yeah, there are quite a few profiles here that help with connecting people (like nodes or bridges) and also bring in discoverability (lighthouses, radars, maps). That’s the whole point: to make the community grow and let others find what (and who) resonates with them.
I also agree with @Fzero and @npub1c6dh...zmx3 calling out authenticity as the opposite of influencer culture. But as a realist here, I’d add that everything can change. The bigger the ecosystem gets, the more noise we’ll encounter. Not saying it’s right or ok, just trying to remind us about human nature. Life can be magical for those who let it be this way. But not everyone has pure intentions, and contrary to the original note, I guess not everyone is tired of social media. Some are actually so addicted they don’t even see how toxic it is anymore, and those people might come here too.
If Nostr, even just as the social media layer, keeps growing, we should expect all kinds of actors. I don’t think it’ll become as shallow and poisonous as traditional platforms, but the environment will definitely change. The beauty here, however, is in the very architecture: relays, NIPs, and the variety of clients. So for those who want to stick with real people and signal, there’s always an option 🙌
But please let's not let's not force holiness on this (another ideology, a utopian vision of something being perfect on its own) 🙃 We already made that mistake with Bitcoin... The technology is brilliant and different from what we're used to, sure, but it all still depends on people — developers, users, all of it. Change a few variables on the human side, and everything else changes. My two SATs.
Absolutely... Where there are people, there is and will be noise! But for those of us who are genuinely driven by the desire to connect, create community, inspire, and cultivate real conversations and relationships, a huge advantage lies in the fact that on Nostr, we have to create our own algorithm. We decide who we follow, who we interact with, and what we want to see in our feeds.
Most toxic social media junkies won't have the patience for that, as they're used to being trapped and controlled by that algorithm.
