Captured by the fraudulent โviewsโ number of mostly botsโฆ somebody pray for their dopamine receptors

They need to take their ball and go play somewhere else

What are your views on the argument that in its current form Nostr actually increases centralisation and the concentration of engagement? Those with other platforms (social, IRL presence, marketing dollars) can funnel and build their Nostr network quite easily, whilst those with none of this - the average person - finds it incredibly difficult to get engagement. If the answer is itโs down to the client can just adopt a Twitter like algorithm, wouldnโt those connections just permeate into the wider Nostr community? Eg, I build a large following using a Nostr Twitter algo carbon copy, those connections are now made irrespective of what other clients are doing. My outreach has now grown significantly.
Complaining about the platform you're using, on the platform you're using, is fiat behaviour
Memes always did well.
Election season will ramp up censorship and it will give folks more obvious incentives to shift platforms.
Happens every time
The masses need to be poked to move
Altcoiners, read Nano-idiots, at least have more trouble moving from X to NOSTR. The latter requires a brain and some technical ability which is the antithesis of what they believe in and are fighting for with their shitcoinery.
Smoke and Mirrors on X is great
Smoke and Mirrors on NOSTR is exposed
As mystifying as why prices go up.
Algo talk + interaction mattering being put first and foremost.
No, this is not something Nostr fixes. It's about *actually* being social. What people in this screenshot want is to have interactions, reach and visibility - now. Not in a few months, but right the moment they post.
And I am glad this isn't here on Nostr.
Shame on everybody if 3-5k people ever give a crap what I have to say.
GM, STAY AWAY FROM TWEETER, STAY AWAY FROM TROUBLE
#NOSTR
How do we get people to Nostr though?
The size of X is a million whales compared to Nostr which is but a baby minnow.
What value do everyday people get from Nostr? If they havenโt been orange pilled yet? How do we get them here, and then orange pill them hopefully?
Guys still using Xitter?
Come on we are in 2023!

If you still have a Dead Bird consider driving your audience to nostr.

People are mistaking reduced interactions for less views. Most of twitter's business model was to allow a freeforall for bots, and this artificially increased engagement. Bots have known for many years how to piss you off by making bad arguments about your thoughts. It doesent take much to get people riled up and reacting to what they think is another person that needs to be corrected. It had the positice effect of getting people to defend their ideas, it also gives the perception of "activity", makes discussions more interestinf and feeds the gossip machine in all of us. But lets get real, why would someone with differing views actually spend their time stirring up a bees nest on the other side? That would mean they enjoy reading opposing opinions and yet also enjoy disrespecting people they like to read. Its a bizarre personality profile, and I have a hard time believing people do this for entertainment. This is why I am lead to the conclusion its literal bots doing most of it, and paid trolls doing the rest., What we see in chat gpt today is only a very advanced example of what has been trade secret in the intelligence apparatus for a very long time.
Back to twits complaining about "the algorithm" causing reduced engagement; Its more likely the unintended effect of forcing KYC &/pay to post.
