I’m a cautious optimist about decentralisation and Bitcoin. I have problems and challenges to debate over, but something is very broken in our current system. Let’s break some eggs. 🥚🍳

Granted I’ve had a couple, but today September 22nd at 12 midnight I must admit this is the first time I’ve thought that Nostr is just NGMI. Engagement is terrible. Maybe it’ll grow to something different - I can certainly see that - but as a social app I just don’t see it. Signing off all 🤘🏼🤷

I’m genuinely surprised that there haven’t been any popular dramatisations of Bitcoin or crypto creationist stories. Sure, featured as a major thread in a number of Silk Road style movies, and referenced in other crime or tech related stuff. And a few low budged documentaries. But no origin stories. Get behind it #netflix #amazonprime and entertain me. Ten part mini series at least. We all wanna bitch about its factual accuracy al’ready)

I must admit I’ve never been able to listen to a complete #MichaelSaylor interview/video/pod. And I’ve tried multiple times with a range of hosts and a range of mediums. Jumbled thoughts, ‘American waffle’, hyperbole. In my view a very poor communicator. Not my ambassador that’s for sure. Happy to be challenged on this too.

From @jack video he shared earlier "If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered.... I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs." Thomas Jefferson #quoteoftheday #quote #BYOB

Fantastic article, very accessible and a great #coffeechain morning read. Whilst a couple of frustrating and silly points early on (an MIT professor thinking we’d have human like intelligence within 3-8 years in 1970) which don’t support the argument on page, it’s a well researched and referenced piece. https://medium.com/accelerated-intelligence/were-in-a-productivity-crisis-according-to-52-years-of-data-things-could-get-really-bad-5c7e53242a0 I have about 5 things in my content list now; video, articles, podcasts and a book.

What does the #government do more efficiently and effectively than free market commercial enterprise? This isn’t a confrontational post along the reductionist and absurd “government = bad / crap” but a genuine topic of debate. I think they SHOULD be great at setting the boundaries within which free markets can operate, running a military and public safety, setting policy to support redistribution of concentration of wealth. Possibly a few other things which are good for society but go against human nature, or require nation wide organisation. Not the inefficient red tape which is crippling productivity and producing worse outcomes, building unpayable debt, and stealing from future generations. #coffeechain thoughts

I’m sorry folks but that’s a miss from me. #thechemicalbrothers With that said ‘The Weight’ is a pretty solid track. ‘Magic Wand’ I can nearly get behind. image
