It seems to me that this is only half the story: If no one responds to your replies, it's also a dead end. A note-reply-replied replies ratio would be better. If the replies to your replies are zero, which in my case is the case, nothing is gained. I made the mistake of responding to mastodon accounts...

Mastodon users ab/misuse nostr. They can mute whole instances and hear nothing someone says. I had a user I thought who would not answer me and month later he looked what his instance blocked away from him - and he attacked me ;). They are not real nostr user.
