I am looking into the face of a blue and white owl. He camouflaged himself with darker feathers to hide his soft and gentle nature. Yes, he is a deadly predator, but he is also intelligent and nurturing to his mate and offspring. He represents to me the complexity of who we are to the world, and who we hide inside.
