Yup it’s alpha. It’s beta. Full launch is quite far away to be honest. Some important features are not yet included. Such as zap, and uploading images.
That’s right. It’s just another option to experience nostr. Damus, iris and all the others are still around. And the best part is, for public community, its also using kind 1 note! Lovely nostr.
Sounds like you're upset people will have the choice to use something other than the thing you like. Welcome to the free market of ideas on open decentralized systems.
Oh this will be perfect for what I was wanting to do with the "nostr tech support" group. Amazing!
Followed you @Jingles 🀝 Congratulations on your client. happy to see another #NDK client πŸ™‚ I checked out the NIP last week but found a few gaps for me to create a good community experience. Will take a look this week again to get an idea. All the best and welcome to the nostr client world πŸš€

I thought this is also all about the choice what you want and whom you want to interact.
Excellent idea, love seeing this implementated. Happy to contribute some ideas. I'm no fan of censorship, but voluntary communities that are moderated and curated by individuals have a place. If I have a private group about home meat processing, there needs to be a way to excuse random shitcoin bots or assholes who aren't there to participate in the goals. This will facilitate projects and education, if you want to shit post do it anywhere else. People question why Telegram is still used, Nostr not having a group focused client or space is why. Well done!
This simply allows you to participate in a moderated environment if you want to. It’s not forcing censorship on anyone. So you’re analogy is very wrong. This is more of a β€œgo here if you’d like to go here, or stay where you are”

This sounds more reasonable

more like LinkedIn, reddit Join what you like. And moderators decide what you post
You know what’s cool, there can even have multiple β€œhome meat processing” communities managed by different groups of people, even through they use the exact same name. If you don’t like this community, just join another.

Cool, I’d love to be able to contribute to the testing if I can!
