i imagine if every nostr developer jumped on the vibe coding train, we'd move 10x faster to addressing all the issues, connecting the ecosystem, and presenting new use cases that solve actual problems rather than just copying the incumbents like twitter and bluesky. but, it has to be seen as better input, not straight output. it can make you a better and faster programmer if you let it. but it's not going to produce something you're proud of and that moves the needle on it's own. yet. try codename goose, cursor, v0, firebase, loveable...all of them. the speed increase is immense, the removal of mechanical burden is great, and that allows you to focus on inventing and fixing the really tough problems.

If Nostr devs embraced vibe coding tools like Codename Goose, Cursor, v0, Firebase, or Loveable, we’d be building a decentralized future at warp speed—focusing on real problems, not cloning Twitter or Bluesky. These tools aren’t magic; they’re like a turbocharged wrench, cutting grunt work so you can innovate. They make you faster, sharper, but the killer ideas? Those still come from you.

been vibe coding from day one ... before i even understood the social ecosystem of Nostr ... https://www.npmjs.com/~vveerrgg the NPMs are vibe code'd & buggy ... but i can't pay rent without paying work. So maybe someone whats to lean in. Also ... no disrespect to nostr-tools & everyone coding already ... i wanted a simpler set of widgets for building super lightweight ideas.
For me, it’s actually quite impressive what I can do today. I need to say that I’m no developer, but I taught myself a few things in the past. However, a lot of the posts here on Nostr are quite motivational and inspiring, so I also tried myself to build something, and I was able to. I started with something small, a browser extension, and it worked. I used Goose, and it was a great experience. I assume I will have to continue that journey… ☺️

I have noticed lots of nostriches posting hour long you tube links to #nostr while they actually want to share only a small one or two minute clip .. So here is a simple vibe code a bash script to download clips from youtube : - Copy paste this in any folder - cd <folder> and then ./<script> - It will ask a you tube usr , starting time of clip and the duration - and run - Video wil be downloaded to downloads folder and clip will be saved in the same folder where you have the script installed .. under subfolder "clips" Post the clip to nostr and enjoy :-) Dependencies 🥇 Install ffmpeg and youtube-dl ( and or yt-dlp) before you run

I agree, claude code has been incredible, I’m chewing through NIPs, I think we are going to rewrite the social internet around nostr and micropayments in the next 1-2 years
Sounds great but you know better than anyone time is incompressible on the side of adoption 😏 You can code 10 killers nostr apps per month , people won’t come to it faster .
I vibe coded a massive backend refactor this week. I had to level up to do it. Coding with LLMs is a skill. Just do it. The more you do it the better you get. 🤙

Jack . I felt like if I have that on my computer it seems they taking over my computer . Really and combined with Claude code then , I felt I have no control . Things happened automatic behind my back while I slept .
