We've been thinking a lot about subscriptions at Mutiny and how others can take advantage of it.
Today, ZapplePay just shipped AutoZaps. It's like a decentralized Patreon: every npub gets their own page where people can set up recurring payments to them.

AutoZaps and ZapplePay use NWC (Nostr Wallet Connect) to communicate with supporting wallets such as Mutiny and Alby. Both wallets have budgeting features so you can auto-approve payment requests associated with a specific NWC string.
We built Mutiny+ using this same NWC tech. Bitcoin is a "push" system, so replicating fiat's "pull" payments in a self-sovereign way involves new ideas and standards. NWC keeps the user in control, and offers the convenience of autopay when you want it.

We want to integrate it into mutiny more in the future but we wanted to demonstrate how anyone can use the NWC tech for different use cases. Check out the zapple pay autozaps page to see it in action. We think it is pretty accessible but let us know if not.

One last thing, after the wallet connection config with amethyst, outgoing zaps look great , but incoming zaps still go to alby ?
What should I do so that zaps go to my mutiny wallet?
Putting trigger emoticons as zap is a game change idea!
So when you really like contens of other people, you can support it with a prefix amount of satoshis!

Yes, just the zapplepay nostr key for now. Wonder if there's at all a good delegated way to signal it's on behalf of someone else. Pablo might have something out soon related to this from the sounds of it.
It might be a good idea to make a lot of technical marketing material and DIY videos to help new people understand what you guys are doing.
One of the key use cases of Bitcoin lightning is low cost transactions. This enables merchants of digital content to take small payments for one off purchases where previously that would have been cost prohibitive.
Bitcoin gives us an alternative to to the subscription model. We all know the scenario of signing up for the free trial because we want to see that one thing. Then we forget to cancel the service that we are not using and get stuck in a passive form of abuse for months until we notice the payments going out. We can do better than this!
