good morning nostr, making a deliberate decision to go to less conferences - small high signal events provide much more value to me at this point

Always thought the whole conference thing sounded a bit like a circle jerk anyway but I’m not from the US, I think you have a lot more culture of that there.
Telling 70 students (if they turn up) that someone found the hidden seed phrase and is now around 800k sats wealthier. Not a Bitcoin event, but doing my part. Will attempt to stay humble, but pretty excited someone actually took the bait!

More building, less talking (Thank you to all the builders I’m just a stakeholder)
Are you doing any small gathering at Bitcoin park at Nashville soon? Next time, I will definitely attend
Same same but in regards to podcasts, everyone and their grandmother has a bitcoin podcast now.

GM. Hear ya- keep sending that great hometown signal with global distribution
GM! Agree, at the same time I’ll be visiting Bitcoin Amsterdam within a few days. This is my first conference to attend. Initiatives such as @Bitcoin Park and @npub1v2j9...gaq7 do not exist in the Amsterdam area as far as I know. Directly creates the opportunity to start something🫡
I'm proud to say I have been to exactly zero bitcoin conferences. I have learned everything I know about bitcoin from reading, listening to podcasts, & watching videos. All the money I would have spent on conference tickets, hotels, & airfares has been spent on bitcoin instead. Stay humble, stack sats 👍

Bitcoin Amsterdam will be (for now) my last major conference. Noderunners / some freaks will be represented, but we can channel our energy to the most important ones -> Small, high-signal meetups and really orange-pill people. Teach & guide people.

Stay humble Matt 😎
Agreed, TABConf would be the only conference I would consider again purely for the aspect of development. From now on I am going to be spending a lot more time curating our local BitDevs instead.
It's too much, NOSTR and Bitcoin. There is signal but with 100s of people an 100s of hours of content it takes time to extract the nuggets or best salient points. To me, it's easy to hang out with like minded people, harder to reach those who don't like or understand NOSTR/Bitcoin. Change is hard.
