I finished the final edits last night! Although I am worried that people won't get much out of it. I wrote it for people with a really high threat models (activists, journalists, people in oppressive regimes) not sure how much use it will be for regular people.
I don't think a lot of regular people have contemplated their own threat models but there are bits of knowledge in most books. The reader only needs to decide if it can help them and how to apply it

Day one - take out the Sim card and lock it in a closet.
Day Two - Shove your phone in the same closet.
Day three - Un plug all the smart speakers , smart cameras - same closet
Day four - Shove the tablets in the same
Day five - Pick up an old router , flash its firmware and set it up for home intranet.
Day Six - Turn of ISP router .
Day seven - Stop cable and set up a room or roof antenna for OTR .
Here you are with all your computers connected to each other .
Whenever you need to download things from internet - bike to local library or coffee shop .
Do it for one week .. and then back on ..

I agree. We can't be off the grid, but we can control a lot of things. I've been on a full VPN for a while now and I'm happy. Not to mention that Bitcoin requires a network, and we're mostly here for it. The network is not a bad thing, we just need to know how to use it. It's the same with AI. A lot of people complain that it will overwhelm us. It's all up to us. It's already created and it's not going to go away, and we have a choice to either hide and deny it or turn it into a useful tool.
