Started wearing a glucose monitor this week to learn more about my body.
Who knew pineapple after lunch could spike your glucose levels through the roof? 😳
I don’t eat oats, but I believe it! It’s been interesting to see the difference in numbers between my husband and I. Us women are way too sensitive to glucose 🥲
They last two weeks and they get less accurate by the day, that’s true. You can try and regulate them with the finger prick but I’m not *that* fixated on this. So far, it’s been insightful.
I did the same and had things like vinaigrette dressing spiked mine. Thought I was going low carb high protein salad as a way to keep glucose low 🤷🏻♂️
My understanding is that it is more important to look at how the blood sugar goes down after the spike. If it falls down again quick it is a sign of metabolical health. If it stays high for long it could mean that there is an issue.
Yeah, that’s also something to look at. I’m not diabetic and I don’t have issues related to glucose, but I wanted to see how my body deals with it and how I can improve. Useful tool.
