Regarding tomorrow's BIP-110 activation: I expect BIP-110 will be successful. Not in achieving majority hash rate after activation, but in exposing a completely captured and controlled mining industry. This will become apparent as the miners will defy all logic which participants in a free(ish) market should exhibit. This will be a wake up call to many who underestimated the scope of the control structure we were born into, and which we are looking to escape. I then expect the overlords will pump the fiat price of the "core chain" as a false beacon of success to those who mistakenly judge fundamentals based on fiat price. It will be a brilliantly illuminated bug zapper for those attempting and hoping to fly towards freedom. It will also signal the "defeat" of this "reckless BIP" that will suffer the same fate as non-principled forks of the "real bitcoin" before it (Bcash etc). This may seem bleak, however if we are honest with ourselves, we always knew deep down that the long hard road was the one we would need to walk. It was not going to be easy, we would not have any free passes, nor do we need any. The battle for freedom from the most powerful human control structure our history (fake or not) has ever known will not be one of ease nor convenience. It will and must be one of value, honor, principles, perseverance, getting to know our true selves, and realizing our true potential. And therefore our victory comes in most unexpected of ways... as we move together to a place based on principle, embracing a new chain free of the lies, manipulation, and mal-intent. Bitcoin then lives on, carried by the patient humble warriors who will live and die by principle and love for fellow good souls. And when the scam is unveiled to the masses, we will be there, silently building in the background, waiting for other good souls to arrive. And by some sly roundabout way, we have already introduced something that they can’t stop. Stay strong, and much love.

Been in Bitcoin since 2017, most of my wealth in Bitcoin since roughly 2023. But before that I started saving in physical Gold and Silver. Long story short, perhaps we should expect to going back to Gold and Silver. Not that I like it, far from that. Not that I want to go back to a society that could function on a Gold standard. But because that is the only system I know of they can't really infiltrate and poison with their filthy fiat system. So either we soon find a way to make Bitcoin 'fiat filthy' safe, by embracing an old release and basically freeze that one as sample. Or I don't see another way of being able to keep the fiat filthy out. Love to hear other views...
I think we need all the tools in the tool box. Physical gold and silver, monitor the existing bitcoin chain and try to reverse course, support the hard fork and its principles, and strategically see how it unfolds over time.
Yes. The old 2% solution ( the rate that gold can expand supply ) is now a 0% solution. That is what we aspire to and build for; and in a principled way I would add,; the last yard is all way the hardest. Be strong πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ
My answer: Monero is not money. Response: What is money? My answer: Money is an absolutely scarce and decentralized uncontrollable sound medium to store energy, selected by the free market. The market chooses the medium exhibiting the following 5 attributes the strongest: Identifiability, Durability, Divisibility, Portability, and most importantly Scarcity (and it MUST be absolutely scarce)... It is a safe haven for energetic beings to store their energy across time and space so that it may not be confiscated AT ALL by the control structure. Because even a little confiscation (2% or even less per year) is catastrophic when considering the LONG GAME (centuries +) this control structure operates under. This is a generational battle and our generational knowledge has been wiped from our lineage precisely because our energy was used against us over time.
Gold managed to be money for thousands of years despite having supply inflation of 1 to 2%. So your thesis is just wrong. Absolute scarcity is not only not a necessity for sound money, it is not good monetary policy.
Put up or shut up boss. Gold was money for millennia and is STILL the go-to SoV for billions, despite having supply inflation. So obviously a fixed cap isn't a requirement for hard money or a SoV. In fact, no economist EVER suggested that we should eliminate the supply side of the price of money. Now what were you saying?
The difference between me and you is that I know what I'm talking about and your autistically reeeeing "SHITCOINER" because you saw someone mention Monero. Tell me why monero is a shitcoin. I'll wait.
Lol she thinks we have bags. *We actually use our money.* Retail? Did you just call yourself retail? That's one hell of an admission. Don't be so full of yourself, we dont need you to buy anything.
Only from a naive perspective. It seems simple on a napkin, but as it turns out, if you want to protect your wealth, you dont want the security of the network, the trait of it from which the entire value of your wealth is derived, to collapse. 0% does just that and you'll see very soon.
Also, not only is it not necessary, it *has never existed.* It is quite the experiment trying it for the first time, and I'd wager that it is undesirable in the long run for multiple reasons.
"but look! it higher vs BTC for a few months in 2017” apparently a "shitcoin" is something Wall Street and VC money pumped briefly 8 years ago but NOT the coin Wall Street and VC money are pumping right now πŸ˜‚
