i've read a few asimov a long time ago and i honestly can't remember anything much about it except that i wasn't interested in reading many more. but i'd be curious to check this one out since you see parallels

definitely an influential thinker, i just was more attracted to writers like Poul Anderson, William Gibson, Bruce Sterling, Douglas Adams, Piers Anthony, Terry Pratchett, John Shirley, Michael Moorcock, Robert Anton Wilson, and not to forget Phillip K Dick. I kinda place Asimov in the same category in - interesting but kinda droll like Ayn Rand and Lovecraft. I usually want books to either explode my brain or make me laugh my ass off. But i'm going to check this one out in particular because of its relevance to the extraction mechanisms of power that are the overarching theme behind the single case of bitcoin, and affect everything about human society in the last 5000 years or so
