Work. Fast. Easy creator tools. Notification system or feed of channels you follow
I'm a nobody and I'm only here after psychopathic levels of research.

That client has been very slow for me 😒
Probably not, but a youtuber needs views so it's esuer to migrate the existing sub base to their own pltform than promote nostr. Same issue with odysee and rumble. Though rumble does get a lot of traction.

How is it easier? You’re doing the exact same thing by trying to migrate then regardless of the destination
Oh its not. Just saying thats what i think their mind set is. If anyone with an online presence promted and used nostr, people would migrate. Especially if they produced content detailing how they set up thier account and the apps available here.
Nostr is absolutely not ready to replace YouTube. Mostly because none of the devs and NIP cookers seem to care. Nostr media game is extremely disappointing.

What are their options if they know about nostr?
Maybe not. Perhaps they believe it’s one more way to become wealthy.
What drives me nuts are the ones who complain about censorship, yet either lock their videos behind Locals or create their own platforms (looking at you, Trilogy Media). It shows me they're not caring about censorship, they're only caring to squeeze some extra revenue. I mean, Nostr still probably has a ways to go before it can truly compete with YouTube or TikTok but relatively painless alternatives exist in the form of Odysee or even Rumble (Odysee is better, IMO), and some have reported that they actually make more money on Odysee than YT. But again, they do it to squeeze more money from their career. I'm not ENTIRELY faulting them for it, it's business, but it does feel like a bit of an excessive move and anyone who knows me knows that I am very vocal about honor and integrity.
Peertube, like Nostr, has quite a ways to go before its ready to be useful to most major content creators. Great concept but in every experience I've had with it, it's an inferior experience compared to other alternatives like Odysee (which is also decentralized).
The people you want in are not ready yet, and you've got to be 100% totally comfortable with letting them be ready in 5-15 years. This whole "tomorrow or never" attitude toward adoption is a LOSING MENTALITY and people really need to relax about it.

Well, the content on nostr is just weird bros circle jerking each other about Bitcoin, which is just...not enough. But eventually it could become more
If their audience will follow them anywhere, then why put in the effort to create a new platform when one already exists that can be iterated on if it doesn't fit their exact needs?
because walled gardens. and even though we like to pretend that the content on the platform does not matter, it does push people away when it is a bitcoin circlejerk people won’t do stuff free for you, we have to fix the problem

how do you post long form content on Nostr?
it isn't really difficult... blossom is cool but honestly i think it's just reinventing a gutted version of bittorrent... it is useful for a simple way to host media and upload it from http, which has benefits for browser based apps and users, but for actually distributing the data bittorrent already does everything perhaps if blossom was merged into becoming part of a special purpose bittorrent tracker that has a blossom socket as well, this could be very cool bittorrent is THE solution for a youtube killer, and always will be (disregard the stupid overcomplicated IPFS based shit tho, that shit is too complicated) many browsers now have bittorrent downloaders built into them and there is plenty of torrent clients available for all languages including javascript so, aside from the blossom enabling simple http access, for supporting data heavy video and audio is gonna need bittorrent, IMO and for streaming, obviously there needs to be support for these protocols but that's probably a separate issue... decentralised stream caching is a different game
