There’s this idea that being a leader is some sort of a desirable position.
Being a leader is being of service to others.
It’s being willing to face the consequences of every decision.
It’s taking responsibility for everyone under your care.
It’s prioritizing others before yourself.
To die if necessary for others.
It’s not something you want to do, but something you feel compelled to do.
It’s not a top spot or perch to boss others around from.
Leadership is a sacred calling and responsibility.

HODL for President.
Just kidding. I like you and would rather you stay safe, sane and sovereign.
The new Pope got you thinking about this?
🫶💕🪡🎶
Good take 💪
Every single part of this post is 100% correct.
Fatherhood got me thinking about this
Kanye’s new song got him thinking about this.
So true. This is the definition of a true leader, a good leader. It has nothing to do with title.
Agree, best leaders support their team. Shitty leaders throw them to the wolves.
Unless you're a sociopathic narcissist.

AMEN Brother..previously thought I was a leader because I was well compensated to make sure others did what they were also paid to do.
Realistically..I was just another cog in the wheel.
Now..my life has meaning.
Gotta thank #Bitcoin for giving me the freedom to take a pay cut & the community for changing my outlook on life 🙏🏼

When you’re a kid, there’s an image of the leader as a guy sitting on a throne ordering people to bring him stuff. This is the Saddam Hussein route; many such historical cases. The West rose out of that shit because of the few who took the other path.
Right on
"A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves."
Lao Tzu
The trait to want and push for leadership of others should immediately disqualify the person from the position.
Some folks want to be a leader because they think that’s the only way they could feel heard or seen
I think Donald Trump disproves your thesis
Being a leader is a pain in the ass.
Most people are content not moving. ever. They want things to be easy. They want to do the same thing every day.
Being a leader means you have a vision and have to convince people to follow it. They will up to a certain point. Then they try very hard to get complacent again. This is a conscious decision based on the fact that most people don't have much stamina.
So being a leader means you have to have exponentially more energy than the rest and the courage to project it towards your goals.
The best leaders are the ones who least want the position.
Free guess what type we have, today……
Well said
Leadership positions are often pursued as a remedy to compensate for personal insecurities.
Search for Sigma Male personality.
Alphas look forward to lead. Sigmas only do it by aclamation.
The TDS is strong in you my friend
You are describing a GOOD leader.
Sadly, there is not much of this species remaining nowadays.
I would also add, a good leader fill confident with his team, there is a kind of mutual respect. It permit all of the team (leader included) to go father together.
Well that sucks. I thought the whole point of being a leader was so you can boss people around
Leader is born! You have it in your blood! Leaders most of the time are not the best! I'm a leader 🤷♂️✌️💜

💯
Funny. My wife and I were just discussing this today and came to a similar conclusion:
If you want to lead, you are not fit to lead.
Only when you have to lead and you answer the call. That's when true leadership can happen.
Are you describing Joe Biden? 😆
I guess that is an easy response that requires no thought to anyone that criticizes your dear leader/overlord
It’s a great example of the importance of “leading from the front” reading stories of commanders in Vietnam who got grenades thrown into their tents at night because they were of a sort who would recklessly spend the lives of their men but never take any of the risk themselves.
It is what husbands and fathers are called to be.
it’s a sacrifice
like being a parent
we sacrifice for our kids
Very well said @HODL
I see leadership as helping those I lead become the best version of themselves.
But that’s hard—really hard—especially in a culture that elevates leaders to guru or god-like status.
True leadership looks more like lowering yourself than raising your platform.
Would we have the humility of Jesus, who washed His disciples’ feet the night before He was crucified?
That’s the model. Not dominance. Not applause. But love expressed through service—even when it costs everything.
Isn't this the truth ?
"If you want to lead, you are not fit to lead."
Best leaders are those that don't really want the job but realize no else is able to "step up"

Try producing and directing an independent film from concept to cinema screening.
At any budget, most fail to cross the finish line.
Those that don't, have earned leadership badge.
I’ve been a part of many actually
Will you ever go back to that world?
Very curious what an American Hodl production would look like
My style is kind of Michael bay meets Steven Spielberg meets David O Russell.
I’ll probably get back into media at some point in some form or fashion. Maybe an AI studio? Unclear right now.
I still consult and give notes on friends projects. A buddy just had a script picked up by Sony that I gave notes on. So that’s how I keep myself sharp.
Gotcha, definitely looking forward for AI to do for movies what it did for coding.
Right on bro, good for you and your buddy.
