You ever go to someone's profile and notice they no longer follow, feel a slight rise in blood pressure, then later notice it was only a nostr glitch later? ๐Ÿ˜…

Would you like to borrow my knife fight video. That's a real follower reducer๐Ÿฅณ.
Well, I have some people that stop following me...no blood pressure, just curiosity why, because at some point we did interact. Like @Gigi for example and Source (can't add him with @) ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ
I have people I enjoy interacting with that followed me for a while but now unfollow me. I still follow them and comment and zap because I enjoy their notes. I sometimes wonder what I posted that prompted them to cut me off their feed but it's their feed. If they didn't value my content that's not my problem. I still wish them blessings.

Mood mismatch. Person A in one mood, person B in another. They unfollow for a while. Refollow later. Honestly, follow label is not a very good way to judge relationships. Need some better way.
Don't forget about lists. I hope people I have put on different lists don't think I've unfollowed them totally. I've removed about 50 from my main follow list recently, to put in different lists.
lol. Oof, the tag... It's usually a client error, but sure sometimes it's real. It's just easy/natural to feel judged, but there are many possible reasons, and we shouldn't confuse "follows" with friends anyway imo. Or even liking someone for that matter

You're safe๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป.
I don't judge... People can unfollow me if they wish too. But it sparkles curiosity at my end, when is someone I do care. @Gigi I think it was because I made a joke about the "Gigi and" x number" others. I don't even remember the joke, It was just me being silly as usual, and no harm intended but coincidentally or not, he did unfollow me. I understand that sometimes, some jokes can sit not well. I am aware. I have a friend here, that I know on real life that also unfollowed me. You would never guess we are friends and talk outside Nostr. It's weird, but I do respect and let him be.

I unfollow friends all the time when they are in a hissy mood. It doesnโ€™t mean anything, I just donโ€™t want their day rubbing off on mine and sometimes unfollow is the easiest way to clear your timeline for a few days. Muting works but then you forget to unmute. With unfollow you still see their notes if others reshare and you donโ€™t forget they exist - I think itโ€™s better than mute. Sometimes we get annoying to other people temporarily (who isnโ€™t guilty of that) and thatโ€™s ok too. Other times it just posting too much at once or posting things about an issue people donโ€™t care about - point is it can be any reason without any permanent judgment of that person.
Well said. Yeah, that's why I never liked the "friend" language around things like Facebook. People take it personal enough without that connotation
I had an issue like that when I had differences in relays set on each client. Was months ago

I think itโ€™s by design to manufacture drama and draw attention to the platform
Yeah there's that, but it's a better term I think. Followers sounds inflooencery.

โ€œFollowingโ€ always confuses me. Am I looking at someoneโ€™s following or am I looking at who someoneโ€™s following. I already know I am retarded, no need to remind me.
Was not a conscious action. I follow almost a thousand people and use so many clients and other stuff that messes with my various things that I have to recover my bookmarks, my metadata, and my follow list periodically. Don't read too much into it.
Followed. Don't think I ever unfollowed, and seemingly only seeing this note now ๐Ÿซ‚
